Have you looked trough the BIOS for AGP and timing options?  Is 
there anything set that sounds like FastWrite?  If so, switch it 
off, and your problems will most likely be over.  If there are 
other timing options, set them to Optimized or Automatic or by SPD 
or whatever it's called.  Even if they are already set to Optimized, 
toggle them to something else and then back again, to be certain.
