From my uneducated guess it looks like the driver isn't recognising that my
chipset can do DVI;

(--) PCI:*(1:0:0) unknown vendor (0x1106) unknown chipset (0x3118) rev 2, Mem
@ 0xf0000000/26, 0xf4000000/24

[...]

(II) VIA: driver for VIA chipsets: CLE266, KM400/KN400, K8M800,
        PM800/PM880/CN400, VM800
(II) Primary Device is: PCI 01:00:0
(--) Assigning device section with no busID to primary device
(--) Chipset PM800/PM880/CN400 found

Which I think coresponds to this line in via_id.c

{"VIA VT3118 (PM800)",                    VIA_PM800,   0x1106, 0x3118,
VIA_DEVICE_CRT},

Meaning that it won't use the DVI output?

Of course I could be completely wrong here.

Apologies, I got caught by no reply-to munging.

Thanks again,
