No clue, sorry.

Thanks for the pointers. Apparently my update rate issues solved itself after 
upgrading to using debian testing instead of stable. I'm not even using the 
suggested AGPDMA option.

On a side note. OpenGl is working also I'm getting framerates of 620 fps using 
glxgears.
