Collection of contributed binary packages

Some people are contributing pre-built packages to allow fast and easy install of the openchrome drivers.

Sabayon Linux:
  • Sabayon Linux ships and uses OpenChrome by default. Package information here

Ark Linux :
  • Ark Linux includes and uses OpenChrome by default. There is no need to install external packages.

Fedora :
  • Fedora Core 2 up to Fedora Core 6 : http://washington.kelkoo.net/epia
  • Fedora 7 and newer : just run 'yum install xorg-x11-drv-openchrome'.
  • Fedora 9 and newer : openchrome is the default driver for VIA IGPs.

RHEL/Centos :
  • RHEL/Centos 4 : http://www.yuiop.co.uk/epia/rhel4 - these are built from the same SRPMs as the Fedora ones provided above by xavier, but not updated as often.
  • RHEL/Centos 5 and newer : openchrome is available through the EPEL project.

Mandriva :

Ubuntu

PCLinuxOS 2005:

Slackware:
  • Unofficial package: see here in linuxpackages.net.
  • xorg-6.9 is in Slackware-current as of 14 January 2006. It is the first released version of xorg which provide support for (some) unichrome chipsets.

SUSE and OpenSUSE:

  • Search for openchrome bugs in distributions :
